Each form evolves from research into popular contemporary designs and trends while remaining rooted in my own design guidelines and sensibilities. My glassware is made with simple forms, clean lines, and chaotic patterns, giving a subtle uniqueness to each object while meeting strict size and form requirements. These patterns reference the grain in wood, which dictate the making process of the furniture, similarly to how the chaotic lines influence the blowing process of the glassware.
My work is dictated by my guidelines for design, The Weinstein Canon, a book of design theory that I have created through researching existing designers' philosophies. I use these guidelines to keep my designs consistent, so that pieces from various collections feel coherent while remaining iconic and individual.
